Didn't We Just Do This?

Have you ever wondered why it seems that each year goes by faster?

When you were 5, one year represented 1/5th of your life. In comparison with your whole life, 1/5th was quite a long time.

When you are 25, one year is 1/25th of your life. A much smaller percentage; thus, giving the illusion that time is passing faster.

So, when you are 90, and it seems that life is going so fast that you can celebrate all the birthdays, have Easter Dinner, Thanksgiving Dinner, do your Christmas shopping and go to the Christmas Eve service all within the time frame of a single day, please still shower eventhough you feel you just did. The 5 years old might stay away from you since hanging out with you seems like eternity.

There...now we know.
